Typical areas of responsibility include payroll certification and delivery; preparing military travel orders and arranging transportation, including shipment of household goods; preparing correspondence; and maintaining files and administrative records


Qualifications:
Prioritization and organization skills are highly desired. Good interpersonal skills a must. Ability to use computers extensively to research issues on the Internet and the CG Intranet, prepare spreadsheets and word processing documents, and perform data entry and retrieval.


Training:
A self-paced course of instruction lasting from four to six weeks in Petaluma, CA. You may also elect "strike" the rate (on-the-job training), to attain the rank of Third Class Petty Officer after successfully completing requirements.

Food Service Specialist (FS)

 

 

Receive top training in cooking skills, accounting, management, leadership, and the ability to organize and carry out many tasks. Also learn menu preparation, baking, sanitation, purchasing, storage, dietetics and dining facility management.

This job prepares you for sought-after positions in the civilian community. We have many certified chefs and food executives in the workplace.

 

Qualifications:
Interest in food preparation. Ability to understand and apply instruction and procedures for handling food. High standards of honesty and personal cleanliness. Experience or school courses in dietetics and food preparation will be helpful.


Training:
Begin with 12 weeks of specialized instruction at FS A-School in Petaluma, CA, or with on-the-job training. After initial study and some time improving your skills, further training is available in accounting, administration, and advanced culinary skills involving nutritional cooking. Contracted and taught by renowned chefs.
