The Fort Myers - Cape Coral Flotilla of the USCG Auxiliary strives to make the boating public safer through our various training courses.
Our most popular course (Boating Skills and Seamanship) allows both newcomers and those who have been boating for years the opportunity to learn ways to stay safe in all aspects of boating, both on and off the water. All BS&S Courses will require the purchase of additional materials which are not included in the course fee. For Marlinspike (Tying Knots) you will need 5-6 Feet of three strand, 1/2" diameter line. For the Navigation portion you will also need a pair of dividers, parallel rules, and Chart # 01 E. If you are uncertain what these are, you will be shown on the first day of instruction. These items will not be needed for the first day.
